OH NO! A pen leaked all over your shirt! Don't throw away that shirt just yet.
Here are some tips for removing ink from clothing:
-With an old white cloth, dampen the cloth with rubbing alcohol. Dab the ink spot over and over again. The ink should start to break down and be lifted by the cloth.
-Make a paste of baking soda and water. Spread a thick coat on the stain. Let sit for an hour or so, and rinse. If stain is still there, reapply paste. After about an hour, add a teaspoon of vinegar to the stain. Rinse and the stain should be gone.
-OxyClean! Soak the item in a tub of hot water and 1 cup of OxyClean. (I recommend letting this sit overnight) The next morning, start your wash machine and add the entire tub of water along with the item, to the wash machine. Check for stain before drying. Repeat if needed.
-If you have a really terrible stain, try nail polish remover. With a cloth (that you don't mind throwing away), Dampen cloth, and blot stain. Adding a little more polish remover as needed. One the stain is gone, IMMEDIATELY throw in the wash machine!
